School Banking

STUDENT BANKING – EVERY WEDNESDAY EXCEPT THE LAST WEEK OF TERM.

NEWS:

It is hard to believe that today was our last school banking day for 2017 and that another year has flown past!

  • Congratulations to Grade 4TK for winning this week’s school banking trophy.
  • Congratulations to all our grades who have won the school banking trophy throughout the year and in particular, 3MW who have been incredibly consistent bankers.  Congratulations also to PJB, 1CS and 2SS who have also been regular winners of the trophy throughout the year.
  • Due to your savings, School banking this year has raised over $1,200 in commission (as at the end of Term 3) for the benefit of the school.
  • Please note that it can sometimes take two weeks for the reward items to arrive.  We will deliver all reward items received before the end of term to the classrooms otherwise they will be delivered next year.  Hold onto any tokens that you may still have for the new reward items to be offered next year (details to follow in 2018).
  • Please don’t worry if you think you are missing tokens.  The Bank keeps a record of how many times you have banked and so they can always tell how many tokens you should have.
  • Please make sure that you fill in the deposit slip and stub in your bank book each time you bank.
  • Don’t forget, if you make just one deposit of any amount and no withdrawals in any month on your school banking account, you are entitled to receive bonus interest.  This interest is currently calculated at 2.29% pa compared to 0.01% pa which is the standard interest rate paid on the account.

A very big thank you to Tanya L and Dave W who have continued to act as school banking co-ordinators.  The program would simply not be able to run without you.  We very sadly say farewell to Dave as his family moves on from Greythorn and we wish them all well.

A big thank you also to Rebecca, Jenny, Angela and Ricarda in the Office who field all sorts of enquiries on our behalf, pile up our banking satchels and manage us with great efficiency and humour.

Thank you also to our two dedicated School Banking Monitors, Miguel and Shaya, who have carried out their duties so capably this year.  We wish them well as they now head to High School.
